Better than expected
By Patrick W. Mizell
Three holes into my initial turn with a new watch (a Christmas benefaction to myself), it dawned on me that this is cooler than we had imagined. we envision dual years from now, this is a new rangefinder technology.
For a past several years, we have been a vast proponent of a laser rangefinder, arguing with my gps rangefinder friends that a laser is some-more accurate to a pin. After my turn today, we am not certain we will ever lift my laser out again. The preference is unbelievable. we customarily demeanour down during my wrist, and we have my stretch to a front center and back. we demeanour in a transport during a pin sheet, and subtract or supplement for a ideal distance. No reaching in a glove box of a transport or fumbling around for a device.
Even cooler, and some-more used than we anticipated, is a duty that lets me magnitude a stretch of my shot. You customarily reason a symbol and name "measure my shot" afterwards expostulate or travel to a ball, and it gives a distance. we started doing it with all my shots customarily to get a feel for how prolonged we was attack a turn with any club. Pretty cool.
Less cool, though neat -- we can also magnitude with an odometer how distant we indeed travel on a course. And other things, like how distant divided your mom in law's residence is on Christmas day, critical things like that.
The watch is unequivocally gentle and entertaining with large, purify numbers. we am going to start wearing it as my unchanging watch.
The customarily criminal that we can tell is that there are no distances to hazards, etc. we consider that will be in a subsequent generation.
Only one turn in, though we can tell this is going to be a keeper.
Update:
After about 4 months of flattering complicated usage, there are my thoughts.
I still consider it is a good product, though we use my laser in and to get accurate yardage. we find myself looking during a watch as we lift adult to a turn for bar selection, squeeze a right club, afterwards fire it with a laser to endorse and get a accurate stretch to a pin. The distances were not ideal when we initial used it. A few holes were off by as most as 10 yards. we wrote to Garmin about my course, and my theory is that they remapped a march regulating google earth or something like it. The distances are most improved with a latest update. On a Garmin web page, demeanour around, there is a couple to send them comments about yardages on a sold course.
The battery horse is kind of a pain. It clips onto a watch, and with cave we have to thingamajig it to get it to start charging. It is not that we am not removing a leads in a right place -- that is easy to see. You have to shake it to get a charging bars to start. The horse unequivocally needs improvement, or we got a bad charger.
Also, a battery assign life is not great. we played 36 holes a other day, and it did not finish a day. we don't mostly play 36 so it is not a vast deal, though be wakeful that it is unequivocally customarily a one turn charge.
But we still adore it. It is gentle to wear, unequivocally easy to read, and fun to uncover off to other players. we would still buy it given what we know now.
Update a year later:
Couple of thoughts to supplement -- first, we am wrong about a battery connector. we have been jiggling a connector watchful for a bars to start, when we finally figured out it customarily takes 5 seconds or so for a bars to start regardless. So no jiggling required, customarily be patient.
Also, customarily hung adult with patron support, we had a problem with a map refurbish (my mechanism froze in a center of a refurbish and we couldn't get it to refurbish after) and we customarily wish to supplement that Garmin support is awesome. None of a common tech support bs where they empathise with my problem each time we contend something. You indeed get people who know about a watch and a program and unequivocally fast tell we how to repair it. The chairman we spoke with was associating - he sounded like one of a program developers. we have no thought if he was, though it was a discerning and pleasing experience.

Great Product! we adore it!
By J. Hannides
I adore this product. I've had a Skycaddie and a Garmin incomparable units and
I didn't comprehend how most of a pleasure it would be not to have to go around
to a side of a transport to demeanour during a yardage. Also, a readout on a watch
is a lot easier to see than a screens of a incomparable units. The guy
complaining about a differences in yardage contingency be a unequivocally accurate golfer.
For me, a few yards disproportion is not going to matter. Although we question
whether sprinkler heads are that accurate. we have checked a SR watch
against a palm hold and customarily they are a same or within a yard or two.
The downside is we don't get a fact eg, distances to hazards or
specific spots on a march that we can get with the
handheld Garmin. Another disastrous is that a other guys in
my foursome are always criticizing me for checking my watch
for a time.

Poor Battery Life
By DJ
I adore a watch and find it works wonderfully. The interface is bad - too most symbol pulling - though it works and there are few reasons to pull any buttons on a course. You can magnitude your expostulate or pierce from a jeopardy back to your turn - that takes symbol pushing.
It finds all a golf courses but all that mechanism loading.
The vital forsake and it's vital is that a batteries won't final for 36 holes. It's a one turn device and we improved remember to recharge it or we won't have a device for a subsequent round. Also On shopping
